Gold Treasure Casino

Summary:

  • Gold Treasure Casino will temporarily shut down while reviewing future plans.
  • Registered players have 10 days to redeem remaining funds.
  • The closure highlights growing pressure on sweepstakes casino operators.

Gold Treasure Casino has announced that it will temporarily shut down its platform, marking another sign of growing strain across the sweepstakes casino industry.

The Brand Could Return

The operator, run by Miracle Studio Inc., informed players over the weekend via email that the site would be taken offline while the company “evaluates and plans the next chapter of the platform”. While the closure is immediate, the message left open the possibility that the brand could return in the future.

In its message sent to players, the operator thanked them for their support and confirmed that they have 10 days to redeem any remaining funds, after which their redemption requests may no longer be processed.

The email, which carried the subject line “Important Update Regarding Gold Treasure Casino” also suggested that the shutdown may not be permanent.

The company indicated that it could come back “stronger and better than ever”, hinting at a potential restructuring or relaunch under a revised model.

Short-Lived Casino

The casino launched in early 2025, which means it had a very short lifespan for a platform in the sector.

Its rapid exit underscores the growing challenges facing sweepstakes casino operators, particularly newer and smaller brands competing in an increasingly crowded and heavily scrutinized market.

The broader industry has been dealing with important change as more US states have decided to introduce restrictions or outright bans on sweepstakes-style casino models

The list includes California, New York, and New Jersey, all moving against the format last year. In 2026, additional states including Maine, Indiana, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Louisiana have also passed measures limiting or prohibiting these platforms.

While the actual number of fresh bans has slowed down compared to 2025, industry pressure keeps mounting, as even a limited expansion of restrictions is known to put more strain on operators working with tighter margins.

Sweepstakes casinos are also dealing with growing operational costs, more and more demanding compliance requirements, and stricter online marketing conditions.

Payment processing and advertising limitations have further complicated efforts for smaller platforms to maintain visibility and profitability.
