Oklahoma

Summary:

  • GiddyUp was scheduled to end game access on October 19, with withdrawals expected to remain available until November 2.
  • Coin Wizard Games will permanently close on October 28, while Baba Casino and ACE Casino are withdrawing some or all of their sweepstakes offerings.
  • Oklahoma Senate Bill 1589 takes effect November 1, adding to regulatory pressure on sweepstakes operators

A number of sweepstakes casino operators continue to wind down their services or restrict access in Oklahoma as a new state law targeting gambling-related activities approaches its November 1 effective date.

What’s Coming

GiddyUp, Coin Wizard Games, Baba Casino, ACE Casino and Stake.us have announced or scheduled changes affecting their operations, although the scope and timing differ by platform.

GiddyUp has been scheduled to end game access on Monday, October 19. Purchases were disabled on October 15, while withdrawals are expected to remain available through November 2.

The platform, operated by KHK Games, has referred to the move as a temporary wind-down.

Meantime, Coin Wizard Games is getting ready to shut down for good on October 28. The platform launched in May 2026, but its closure will bring its operations to an end just days before Oklahoma’s new restrictions take effect.

The company has already stopped Gold Coin purchases. Players can continue using Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins until noon Eastern Time on October 21.

After that, Gold Coin gameplay will remain available through noon on October 28, while redemption requests must also be submitted by that date. Its parent company, Golden Hearts Games, will continue operating.

Other operators are making changes specifically for Oklahoma users. Baba Casino is scheduled to end Sweeps Coin gameplay and redemptions in the state on October 21, although its Gold Coin social casino will remain available. ACE Casino completed its full exit from Oklahoma on October 6.

Stake.us has also announced that its services will become unavailable in Oklahoma on October 30, two days before the new law takes effect.

Oklahoma Law Raises Pressure

The changes come in preparation for the upcoming Senate Bill 1589, which will take effect on November 1. The legislation is meant to boost Oklahoma’s gambling restrictions and includes a series of important provisions targeting dual-currency systems that can be exchanged for prizes or cash equivalents.

The bill passed the state Senate by a 48-0 vote in March and cleared the House 65-21 in May. The governor vetoed the legislation, but lawmakers subsequently overrode the veto, with the House voting 68-19 and the Senate 34-10.

The upcoming deadline has prompted operators to review their services and availability in the state. Some are withdrawing sweepstakes features, while others are leaving Oklahoma altogether.

The distinction between Gold Coin social casino play and Sweeps Coin gameplay is important to the changes announced by several platforms. Operators have taken different approaches, with some maintaining social casino features while ending prize-related functions.

With the law set to take effect on November 1, further changes may follow as operators assess how their business models fit within Oklahoma’s updated gambling rules.
